More good news about the McNichols-Livernois neighborhood

University of Detroit Mercy has been working for years to revitalize the neighborhood around the McNichols Campus, and it seems the idea is catching on.

First, Detroit Mercy pushed for the installation of medians on Livernois, creating a safer and more attractive boulevard from The Lodge to Eight Mile. The School of Architecture’s Detroit Collaborative Design Center has worked with nearby residents to create a small park where neighborhood children can play. The creation of Live6, a nonprofit planning and development organization whose mission is to enhance quality of life and economic opportunity in northwest Detroit. And last week there was this news.
