Ss. Peter and Paul Jesuit Church hosted its first ever Blessing of the Sneakers, before the Detroit Free Press/Chemical Bank Marathon. Detroit Mercy’s Gary Wright, S.J., presided over the service. A large number of runners gathered to pray for a safe and healthy run in the brisk Detroit air.
