Here’s a fun fact for the Jesuit educated:\u00a0Ten percent of the 115th\u00a0U.S. Congress that was sworn in last week,\u00a0are graduates of Jesuit colleges and universities.<\/p>\n

Of the 56 Jesuit institution alumni, two are from University of Detroit Mercy.<\/p>\n

Democratic U.S. Sen. Gary Peters ’84, who represents Michigan, is one of 12 in the Senate\u00a0who hail from Jesuit institutions.<\/p>\n

U.S. Rep. Vern Buchanan<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Florida Rep. Vern Buchanan\u00a0’86, a Republican, is one of 44 Jesuit alumni who serve in the House of Representatives.<\/p>\n

Peters is the newcomer, elected in 2014; Buchanan was first elected in 2006.<\/p>\n

Both earned their MBAs in the College of Business Administration.<\/p>\n

American Jesuit Colleges and Universities President Rev. Michael J.
