The event is open to everyone.<\/p>\n<p>Presenters will include public safety experts from Detroit Mercy and Marygrove College, community patrol supervisors, police officers from Detroit&#8217;s 12th Precinct and a representative from the Detroit Police&#8217;s Computer Statistics crime data analysis program known as CompStat. The event is hosted by University of Detroit Mercy-sponsored community service organization Live6 Alliance and news website Model D.<\/p>\n<p>This event will address issues like improving the reputation of the neighborhoods around Livernois and McNichols in Detroit; how police and the community can work together and how the universities and their security personnel can contribute to neighborhood safety.<\/p>\n<p>The event begins at 6 p.m. and includes\u00a0a panel discussion with audience Q &amp; A moderated by Live6 Alliance Acting Director Lauren Hood &#8217;03, &#8217;12.
