University of Detroit and University of Detroit Mercy alumni are well represented at the 2017 World Union of Jesuit Alumni (WUJA) Congress now at John Carroll University in Columbus, Ohio.<\/p>\n

The gathering has been held every four years since the organization was founded in 1958, but this is the first time it’s been held in the United States. This year, attendees will hail from more than 25 countries. They gather at the three-day program to celebrate Jesuit education and Ignitian spirituality in more than 30 breakout sessions featuring more than 60 speakers.<\/p>\n

There are several tracks of study and Detroit Mercy’s Gerald Cavanagh, S.J. organized the Business one. <\/p>\n

Today, Detroit Mercy Law professor Andrew F. Moore will discuss “Jesuit Law Schools \u2014 What Makes us Jesuit” and at a reception at Cleveland’s Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Philosophy Professor Dave nantais will discuss “Rock and Spirituality.”<\/p>\n

On Friday, Detroit Mercy Professors Terry Howard and Gregory W. Ulferts, Ph.D., are on a panel discussing the topic \u201cGlobal Networking: Technology Benefits Jesuit Alumni.\u201d<\/p>\n
