The first discussion is from\u00a010-11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8<\/strong>, both\u00a0virtually<\/a>\u00a0as well as\u00a0in-person<\/a>\u00a0in Room 139 of the Commerce and Finance Building on the McNichols Campus.<\/p>\n The\u00a0in-person presentation<\/a>\u00a0is set for\u00a010-11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9\u00a0<\/strong>in Room 226 at University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. A\u00a0virtual presentation<\/a>\u00a0is also available for those who register. Parking is free at the Riverfront Campus.<\/p>\n Jeyaraj is the director of Social Justice and Ecology Secretariat (SJES) of the Society of Jesus in the General Curia in Rome. He has 30 years of field experience as a social worker, human rights lawyer and activist.<\/p>\n Penton is the secretary for the Jesuit Conference Office of Justice and Ecology. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and entered the Society of Jesus in Canada.<\/p>\n Three members of the Detroit Mercy staff will also be on-hand during Monday\u2019s presentation to offer Detroit Mercy perspective \u2014 Associate Professor of Biology\u00a0Victor Carmona<\/a>, Dean Emeritus\u00a0Stephen Vogel<\/a>\u00a0and University Minister for Justice and Service\u00a0Sr. Erin McDonald, CSJ<\/a>.<\/p>\n The presentation is open to Detroit Mercy faculty and staff, parishioners, alumni and others who wish to attend.
