{"id":8275,"date":"2024-04-09T09:27:51","date_gmt":"2024-04-09T13:27:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.udmercy.edu\/alumni\/?p=8275"},"modified":"2024-04-09T09:33:32","modified_gmt":"2024-04-09T13:33:32","slug":"graduate-programs-get-high-rankings-from-u-s-news-world-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.udmercy.edu\/alumni\/2024\/04\/09\/graduate-programs-get-high-rankings-from-u-s-news-world-report\/","title":{"rendered":"Graduate programs get high rankings from U.S. News &amp; World Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>University of Detroit Mercy\u00a0(UDM) graduate\u00a0programs are once again ranked among the top in the nation in the 2024-25<em> U.S. News &amp; World Report\u2019s\u00a0<\/em>Best Colleges edition.<\/p>\n<p>This is the fifth consecutive year Detroit Mercy graduate programs have ranked among the nation\u2019s best.<\/p>\n<p>This year, the College of Business Administration\u2019s (CBA) MBA in Management was ranked No. 17 in the nation, up from No. 23 in 2023-24. It is the 10th consecutive year in a row this program has ranked among the country\u2019s top 25.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the College of Health Professions\u2019 Nurse Anesthesia program also ranked No. 18 this year and remains among the top 20 programs throughout the country.<\/p>\n<p>Other rankings for 2024-25 include the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>School of Law<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overall Ranking \u2013 No. 136 (up from No. 141 in 2023-24)<\/li>\n<li>Business-Corporate Law \u2013 No. 149 (up from No. 164 in 2023-24)<\/li>\n<li>Environmental Law \u2013 No. 132\u00a0(up from No. 145 in 2023-24)<\/li>\n<li>Health Care Law \u2013 No. 132\u00a0(up from No. 148 in 2023-24)<\/li>\n<li>Tax Law \u2013 No. 142\u00a0(up from No. 164 in 2023-24)<\/li>\n<li>Constitutional Law \u2013 No. 150\u00a0(up from No. 158 in 2023-24)<\/li>\n<li>Legal Writing \u2013 No. 66 (up from No. 98 in 2023-24)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>College of Business Administration<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Full-time Business \u2013 No. 79 (up from No. 86 in 2023-24)<\/li>\n<li>Part-time MBA \u2013 No. 207 (up from No. 246 in 2023-24)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>College of Health Professions &amp; McAuley School of Nursing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nursing \u2013 Master\u2019s \u2013 No. 91 (up from No. 103 in 2023-24)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rankings for graduate engineering programs have been delayed by the organization.<\/p>\n<p>Donald B. Taylor, president of Detroit Mercy, said this recognition from\u00a0<em>U.S. News &amp; World Report<\/em>\u00a0once again demonstrates the breadth and rigor of UDM programs in addition to the commitment and dedication invested by faculty and staff in helping to ensure the success of all students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach year these rankings affirm that our programs are of exceptional quality and that the support of our caring faculty and staff can ensure student success,\u201d he said. \u201cThese rankings confirm that we are making good progress in that direction.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Each year, <em>U.S. News &amp; World Report<\/em> ranks professional school programs in business, education, engineering, law, medicine and nursing, including specialties in each area. The Best Graduate Schools rankings in these areas are based on two types of data \u2014 expert opinion about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school&#8217;s faculty, research and students.<\/p>\n<p>The data for the rankings in all six disciplines came from statistical surveys of 2,214 programs and from reputation surveys sent to approximately 6,300 academics and 12,690 professionals, conducted in fall 2022 and early 2023.
