Student volunteers needed for Day of Giving

Day of Giving Logo for University of Detroit MercyLooking for upcoming opportunities to volunteer? Detroit Mercy students are needed in January and February to help promote and run Day of Giving 2022, which will be held Feb. 15 on the McNichols Campus.

Students can help distribute posts and table tents at Detroit Mercy’s McNichols, Riverfront, Corktown and Novi Campuses starting Jan. 10. On Feb. 7-8, volunteers are needed to place donor recognition signs at specific locations on each campus.

There are also many volunteering opportunities for Day of Giving itself, as well as cleanup following the event.

Each year, Detroit Mercy hosts Day of Giving to celebrate and educate students about how alumni contributions of time, talent and treasure help current students and enrich the University. Day of Giving is hosted by the Student Alumni Leadership Council’s philanthropy committee.

Day of Giving programming will be held in-person and virtually this year. Students can earn prizes and a chance to win gift cards by participating in events. For more information and to see a list of activities, visit the Day of Giving webpage.
