Hiring orientation leaders, RAs and wellness peer educators

Detroit Mercy students, are you interested in being a leader on campus, whether it’s an orientation leader, resident advisor (RA), wellness peer educator or international orientation leader?

Student Life, International Services Office (ISO), Residence Life and the Wellness Center are looking for orientation leaders for summer 2023 and the 2023-24 academic school year.

Applications are live on Wednesday, Feb. 1. The deadline for all applications is Friday, Feb. 17 at noon. Apply here!

There will be a series of optional information sessions to talk about the various positions:

  • Tuesday, Jan. 31 (1 p.m., Student Union Ballroom)
  • Monday, Feb. 13 (7 p.m., virtual via Zoom)
  • Thursday, Feb. 16 (4 p.m., Shiple Hall lobby)

International orientation leaders help welcome new international students during the summer of 2023, working out of the International Services Office (ISO). For more information or with questions, please contact the Director of ISO Lily Swan at swanls@udmercy.edu.

Resident advisors (RA’s) with the Residence Life Office live on campus and create community for all students. For more information or with questions, please contact Sandra Alef, director of Residence Life, at alefsj@udmercy.edu.

The new wellness peer educator position will focus on wellness, as well as alcohol and other drug programming for our students and in our residence halls. Please contact Joelyn Beaver at beaverjm2@udmercy.edu.
