DESCRIPTION:The English Department at Detroit Mercy’s first Creative Writ
 ing Collective of the 2022-23 school year is set for Tuesday\, Sept. 20 f
 rom 4-5:30 p.m. at Room 101 of the Briggs Building.\n\nProfessor Michael 
 Lauchlan leads the discussion during the first CWC\, drawing inspiration 
 from photographs. Using a photo of family or friends on phones\, you’ll 
 write in the voice of someone in the photo that you know well. You will ex
 plore the nuances of “voice” and may end up with a first-person narrat
 ive or a persona poem.\n\nAll members of the Detroit Mercy community — s
 tudents\, alumni\, staff\, faculty and administrators — are welcome! No 
 writing experience is necessary\, just an interest in exploring and develo
