DESCRIPTION:Ariana Peruzzi\, a doctoral candidate and Newcombe Fellow at Un
 iversity of Michigan\, will speak on "Migration: What are the rights of Re
 fugees and Asylum Seekers?" on Monday\, March 18 from 7-9 p.m. in the Comm
 erce and Finance Building\, Room 138.\n\nLearn about the growing refugee c
 risis\, and participate in an exploration of the political and ethical que
 stions facing our society\, such as\, who ought to be eligible for asylum?
  Why do we have obligations to asylum seekers\, and what are our obligatio
 ns?\n\nPeruzzi will share reflections on her own family's experience with 
 the asylum process.\n\nThese experiences of hers led her to pursue an in-d
 epth philosophical exploration of these topics\, resulting in her disserta
 tion entitled\, "Theorizing Displacement: On Nonvoluntary Migration\, Asyl
 um\, and the Right to Remain."\n\nThe event is sponsored by the Carney Lat
