DESCRIPTION:The season of Lent in the Catholic Church begins on Ash Wednesd
 ay\, Feb. 18.\n\nLent is a holy season\, which calls the faithful to prepa
 re their hearts to enter more deeply into relationship with God and with o
 ne another. It is a time to focus on three important traditions: prayer\, 
 fasting and almsgiving\, which ultimately encourages a more profound celeb
 ration of the Resurrection on Easter.\n\nWith this in mind\, the Universit
 y is offering several Masses across the campuses on Ash Wednesday:\nMcNich
 ols Campus\n\n 	7 a.m. — Prayer service with distribution of ashes at G
 esu Church (across from the McNichols gate)\n 	8:15 a.m. — Mass with dis
 tribution of ashes (Gesu School Mass — all are welcome)\n 	Noon — Mass
  with distribution of ashes in St. Ignatius Chapel\n 	5:30 p.m. — Mass w
 ith the distribution of ashes at Gesu Church\n 	Ashes distributed all day 
 in the Gesu Parish Center Chapel\n\nCorktown Campus (Dental School)\n\n 	1
 2:15 p.m. — Mass with distribution of ashes in the Reflection Room (4th 
 Floor)\n 	1:30 p.m. — Mass with distribution of ashes in the Reflection 
 Room (4th Floor)\n\nRiverfront Campus (Law School)\n\n 	Noon — Mass with
  distribution of ashes at Ss. Peter and Paul Jesuit Church\n 	 7 p.m. —
  Mass with distribution of ashes at Ss. Peter and Paul Jesuit Church\n\nNo
 vi Campus (School of Optometry)\n\n 	7:45 a.m. — Mass with distribution
