DESCRIPTION:The Center for Career &amp\; Professional Development will kick
  off its first Beyond the Degree panel event with a focus on career paths 
 in Communications on Thursday\, Oct. 24 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Commerce
  &amp\; Finance Building Room 209.\n\nThe Beyond the Degree series highlig
 hts professionals who have pursued diverse and exciting career paths. The 
 panel discussions are designed for students who have declared a specific m
 ajor or are interested in the field and wish to learn more about occupatio
 ns they can pursue after graduation.\n\nThis first panel discussion focuse
 s on the field of Communications. This interactive panel is designed to he
 lp students explore the many rewarding paths that can be pursued with a Co
 mmunications degree. The Center invites current Communications majors to j
 oin them for this event where they can hear from the panelists and ask que
 stions about their experiences. Discussion topics will include opportuniti
 es after graduation\, industry involvement and navigating work-life balanc
