 cholar of the New Testament.\n\nThe lecture series is set for Wednesday\, 
 April 3 at 5 p.m. inside of the Student Union Ballroom. Blount's lecture i
 s titled\, "I Wonder if Jesus Daydreamed?"\n\nPresident Emeritus of Union 
 Presbyterian Seminary\, Blount's primary work has been in the Gospel of Ma
 rk\, the Book of Revelation and in the area of cultural studies and hermen
 eutics. He has published dozens of articles and is the author of six books
 . In 2018\, Blount served as President of the Society of Biblical Literatu
 re.\n\nThe Cushing Distinguished Lecture is an annual lecture hosted by th
 e Department of Religious Studies and made possible through generous grant
 s from Dr. Grant and Barbara Cushing\, alumni of the graduate program of R
 eligious Studies.
