 an? The Detroit Mercy community is invited to attend a free life planning 
 and legacy workshop on Thursday\, March 27 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Good Shephe
 rd Lutheran Church located at 16100 Lawton St.\, Detroit.\n\nAttendees wil
 l work with an experienced attorney to ensure their estate is passed down 
 to the next generation.\n\nWorkshop will cover:\n\n 	Last Will and Testame
 nt: Allows you to leave your real and personal property to a person(s) acc
 ording to your wishes.\n 	Power of Attorney for health care: Allows an ind
 ividual (the patient) to appoint a trusted person (agent) of their choice 
 to act on their behalf regarding health care treatment.\n 	Power of Attorn
 ey for finances: Allows an individual (the principal) to appoint a trusted
  person (agent) of their choice to act on their behalf regarding their ass
 ets.\n 	Ladybird Deed: A deed that allows an individual to transfer proper
 ty upon their death to another person(s)\, avoiding probate.\n 	Trust Agre
 ement: The owner of property gives it to another person or entity\, who mu
 st manage and use the property solely for the benefit of another designate
 d person.\n\nThis event is cohosted by the City of Detroit Housing and Rev
 italization Department\, the Detroit Housing Network and the Elder Law &am
