SUMMARY:OMI two-part faculty workshop
DESCRIPTION:Faculty are often asked to examine their teaching\, to assess i
 t\, refine it\, adapt it across modalities and strengthen it in response t
 o evolving student needs. Self-improvement workshops and conferences are o
 ften attended where faculty ask themselves\, "How can we do better?"\n\nAl
 l faculty are invited to participate in a two-part workshop\, hosted by th
 e Office of Mission Integration\, that invites a different\, yet equally i
 mportant\, question: What brings us joy in teaching? \n\nThe two-part work
 shop will take place on:\n\n 	Wednesday\, March 25\, from 2-4 p.m.\, via Z
 oom\n 	Tuesday\, March 31\, from 2-4 p.m.\, in person\, in Room 208 of the
  Student Union \n\nPlease note\, participation is required at both sessio
 ns.  A warm meal will be served on March 31.\n\nWithin a small\, interdis
 ciplinary group of colleagues\, participants will:\n\n 	Reflect on the val
 ues\, life experiences\, disciplinary frameworks and commitments that infl
 uence their teaching at its best.\n 	Explore how personal understandings o
 f excellent teaching intersect with and enrich the Mercy and Jesuit educat
 ional mission and how those traditions can deepen pedagogical practices.\n
  	Rediscover experiences that bring meaning\, purpose and fulfillment to t
 he vocation of teaching.\n 	Participate in a mindfulness component to crea
 te space for reflection and presence throughout the dialogue.\n\nThe voice
  and perspectives of colleagues who are deeply committed to teaching will 
 greatly enrich this conversation. This workshop is intended as a reflectiv
