SUMMARY:Social Justice Retreat
DESCRIPTION:University Ministry will hold an overnight Social Justice retre
 at on Friday\, March 27\, to Saturday\, March 28\, filled with speakers\, 
 reflection and rest. The theme of the retreat is Contemplatives in Action.
 \n\nParticipants will meet on campus at 4:30 p.m. on Friday\, March 27\, a
 nd head out to Maxis Spirituality Center for community building\, fun\, f
 ood and learning about some of the social justice issues of our day.\n\nAl
 l Detroit Mercy undergraduate and graduate students are welcome. Transport
 ation to and from the retreat is provided.\n\nThis retreat will focus espe
 cially on immigration\, nonviolence\, activism\, community care and mindfu
 lness\, and more. Through the theme of Contemplatives in Action\, alumni a
 nd community partners will speak about how they have been inspired to do t
 he work of justice. There will be opportunities for reflection as a group 
 and individually.\n\nThose attending the El Paso\, TX-MX Border Immersion 
 are required to attend this retreat as pre-trip formation. The El Paso gro
 up will also go over trip logistics while at the retreat.\n\nDeadline to r
