SUMMARY:The Writing Center workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Writing Center will hold online professional development se
 ssions this fall to help students at all levels strengthen skills in revie
 wing\, analyzing and incorporating source material effectively into colleg
 e essays in any discipline\, in any course.\n\nParticipants will review st
 rategies for engaging critically with sources\, integrating evidence smoot
 hly and avoiding common pitfalls like patch-writing and over-reliance on q
 uotations. The session will also introduce best practices in formatting an
 d citations\, with more detailed workshops on APA and MLA to follow.\n\nOn
 line session dates are from 1-1:45 p.m. on the following dates:\n\n 	Thurs
 day\, Sept. 25\n 	Wednesday\, Oct. 1\n\nPlease register at least 24 hours 
 in advance. Zoom link will be sent the day before the session.\nRegister h
