 en's Basketball Head Coach Mark Montgomery is a former Detroit Mercy assis
 tant coach and was most recently an assistant coach with the Michigan Stat
 e University men’s basketball team. He has a proven success record build
 ing winning programs and recruiting the top talent in the state of Michiga
 n and beyond.\n\nIn just her second season\, Women's Basketball Head Coach
  Kate Achter completely transformed the program leading Detroit Mercy to a
  17-16 (9-11 HL) record during the 2023-24 campaign\, marking the first wi
 nning season since the 2016-17 season. The 12-win improvement over last ye
 ar was the biggest turnaround in school history and one of the top in the 
 nation as the Titans won just 19 total games the previous six years combin
