SUMMARY:Travel to India info session
DESCRIPTION:A final informational session regarding travel to Israel throug
 h the Michigan Consortium for Israel Studies is set for Wednesday\, Jan. 2
 5 at 7 p.m.\n\nThe info session will be held via Zoom.\n\nThis opportunity
  is open to undergraduate students in any discipline. Students will study 
 at Tel Aviv University and explore the Holy Land from May 30-June 30\, 202
 3.\n\nThe three participants from Detroit Mercy will each receive a $5\,00
 0 travel grant for air and ground travel\, accommodations\, meals\, progra
 mming at Tel Aviv University\, covered by the Nora and Guy Barron Fund.\n\
 nDestinations central to Judaism\, Christianity and Islam will be visited.
  The program includes excursions to Jerusalem\, Nazareth and the Dead Sea.
  Participation in this program requires guest enrollment in two Eastern Mi
 chigan University courses that are each offered for three credits. Summer 
 travel and coursework is coordinated by Eastern Michigan. All credits are 
 issued through EMU and students must submit guest applications required by
  EMU and their home institutions.\n\nThe classes offered are Imagining the
  Holy Land (3 Religious Studies credit) and Israeli Life and Culture (3 el
 ective credits).\n\nDetroit Mercy's Financial Aid office can work with stu
 dents to discuss how financial aid might apply toward the tuition for the 
 two courses. The travel grant of $5\,000 will be awarded through EMU's off
 ices.\n\nStudents who cannot attend this event but are interested in parti
