DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nLearn about how you can travel to India with Detroit Merc
 y during an on-line information session at 2 p.m. Wednesday\, Oct. 12. The
  trip to India with the University is scheduled for May 2023.\n\nStudents 
 of all majors\, as well as Detroit Mercy employees and alumni\, are welcom
 e to travel to India with Detroit Mercy’s History Department and are wel
 come to attend the informational session. Those interested are asked to re
 gister in advance.\n\nThe nine-day tour of India will be with local expert
  guides\, who will take you deeper into the culture\, past and present. Jo
 urney to India’s Golden Triangle — Jaipur\, New Delhi and Agra.\n\nStu
 dents who are College of Liberal Arts &amp\; Education (CLAE) majors or mi
 nors can receive travel grants that cover a substantial portion of travel 
 costs. History majors qualify for an additional competitive award. To prep
 are students for travel\, Associate Professor of History Diane Robinson-Du
 nn will offer a three-credit course on South Asian history this winter wit
 h an emphasis on cultural encounters and exchanges.\n\nLearn more about th
