DESCRIPTION:The Department of Athletics and the Office of Title IX are host
 ing Pride Night on Friday\, Feb. 3 with the Titan women's basketball team 
 hosting Green Bay from Calihan Hall.\n\nThe opening tip for the game is se
 t for 7 p.m. between the Titans and Phoenix. All students get into the con
 test for free with a Detroit Mercy ID.\n\nProceeds from the contest suppor
 t the Ruth Ellis Center\, which was founded in 1999. The center has establ
 ished a national reputation for quality and innovation in providing trauma
 -informed services for lesbian\, gay\, bi-attractional\, transgender and q
 uestioning (LGBTQ+) youth and young adults\, with an emphasis on young peo
 ple of color\, experiencing homelessness\, involved in the child welfare s
 ystem\, and/or experiencing barriers to health and wellbeing.\n\nThe Offic
 e of Title IX's mission and vision is to create a world where LGBTQ+ young
  people feel safe and supported no matter where they go and have a positiv
 e outlook for the future.
