{"id":12064,"date":"2022-11-16T08:57:26","date_gmt":"2022-11-16T13:57:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.udmercy.edu\/campusconnection\/?p=12064"},"modified":"2022-11-16T09:41:56","modified_gmt":"2022-11-16T14:41:56","slug":"nominate-for-the-commitment-to-excellence-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.udmercy.edu\/campusconnection\/2022\/11\/16\/nominate-for-the-commitment-to-excellence-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Nominate for the Commitment to Excellence Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Calling all nominations for the annual <a href=\"https:\/\/www.udmercy.edu\/faculty-staff\/hr\/excellence.php\">Commitment to Excellence Awards<\/a>, which recognizes a staff member or administrator in our outstanding Detroit Mercy community!<\/p>\n<p>Nominations for the 2022 awards have been extended through <strong>Monday, Nov. 21.\u00a0<\/strong><em>Please consider nominating one of the hard-working staff or administrators!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>All full-time non-exempt staff and administrative exempt employees of the University are eligible and staff, faculty and administrators may nominate any colleague. Awards recipients receive a certificate, commemorative gift and a monetary award.<\/p>\n<p>The 2021 recipients of the awards, which were established in 2006, were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lezly Pruitt for staff; and<\/li>\n<li>Rebecca Simkins Nowak for administrator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The &#8220;Rising Star&#8221; category did not receive nominations last year.<\/p>\n<p>Nominations are based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nominees consistently perform their work responsibilities professionally and collaboratively and give excellent service to everyone with whom they work and serve;<\/li>\n<li>Nominees promote and demonstrate the Mission of the University and the goals of their college, school or department;<\/li>\n<li>Nominees take initiative in their work, going above and beyond what is required; and<\/li>\n<li>Nominees are dedicated and accomplish their work with a positive attitude.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Recipients will be selected by the end of November and the awards will be presented at the annual Employee Christmas Party &amp; Colleague Recognition Event on <strong>Dec. 16, 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To learn more about the nomination process and complete the nomination form, please visit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.udmercy.edu\/faculty-staff\/hr\/excellence.php\"><strong>this link<\/strong><\/a>.
