Student auditions for the Detroit Mercy Theatre Company<\/a>‘s productions of “Kayak” and “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 13-14.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The auditions are set for Tuesday, Feb. 13<\/strong> at 7 p.m.<\/strong> inside of Reno Hall, Room 164. Callbacks will be the following evening, Wednesday, Feb. 14<\/strong> at 7 p.m.\u00a0<\/strong>All gender identities will be considered for all roles.<\/p>\n

For the audition, please prepare the two of the following sets of audition pieces:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Two contemporary monologues (one comedic and one dramatic). Each piece should be two minutes or under.<\/li>\n
  2. 12-lines of Shakespeare from any Shakespeare play. NO SONNETS. This can be on book (not memorized), but should be prepared and presented “as if” it is being performed. Any questions about this requirement, reach out to Andrew Papa.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The callbacks will consist of improv and cold readings from the scripts. Scripts and sides will be available through the DMTC Blackboard page. To request access, email theatre@udmercy.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n
