{"id":16349,"date":"2024-02-12T14:15:32","date_gmt":"2024-02-12T19:15:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.udmercy.edu\/campusconnection\/?p=16349"},"modified":"2024-02-13T00:24:50","modified_gmt":"2024-02-13T05:24:50","slug":"triptych-series-features-poet-donika-kelly-on-feb-15","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.udmercy.edu\/campusconnection\/2024\/02\/12\/triptych-series-features-poet-donika-kelly-on-feb-15\/","title":{"rendered":"Triptych series features poet Donika Kelly on Feb. 15"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Detroit Mercy&#8217;s English Department will host poet Donika Kelly as the second author in the 2024 Triptych visiting author series on <strong>Thursday, Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m.<\/strong> The <a href=\"https:\/\/zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/tJApcuuurTwuHNW22lTBNv03ZMN2Bs5IY7tM#\/registration\">virtual event<\/a> is free and open to the community.<\/p>\n<p>Kelly is the author of The Renunciations, winner of the Anisfield-Wolf book award in poetry, and Bestiary, winner of the 2015 Cave Canem Poetry Prize, a Hustron\/Wright Legacy Award for Poetry, and the Kate Tufts Discovery Award. She teaches creative writing at the University of Iowa.<\/p>\n<p>The Triptych series, hosted by Detroit Mercy&#8217;s poet-in-residence <a href=\"https:\/\/www.udmercy.edu\/about\/people\/university\/clae\/english\/adjunct-facuty\/stacy-gnall\">Stacy Gnall<\/a>, takes place on the third Thursday of January, February and March at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.
