{"id":16514,"date":"2024-03-25T16:11:42","date_gmt":"2024-03-25T20:11:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.udmercy.edu\/campusconnection\/?p=16514"},"modified":"2024-03-26T01:30:08","modified_gmt":"2024-03-26T05:30:08","slug":"ccpd-debuting-a-new-career-series-ponder-the-possibilites","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.udmercy.edu\/campusconnection\/2024\/03\/25\/ccpd-debuting-a-new-career-series-ponder-the-possibilites\/","title":{"rendered":"CCPD debuting a new career series, Ponder the Possibilities"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Detroit Mercy&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.udmercy.edu\/current-students\/cec\/\">Center for Career and Professional Development<\/a> is debuting a new career exploration series, titled &#8220;Ponder the Possibilities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The center will host two industry showcases in March that will allow students to explore career paths, meet representatives from organizations in the industry and gain insight on the day-to-day responsibilities of their chosen field. The showcases are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technology Showcase, <strong>March 21 from 12-2 p.m.<\/strong>, Fountain Lounge of the Student Union<\/li>\n<li>Healthcare and Natural Sciences Showcase, <strong>March 28 from 12-2 p.m.<\/strong>, College of Health Professions Building, Room 124<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Industry showcases provide an opportunity for students to meet with industry professionals in a small group setting. The showcases will include eight to 10 employers within specific industries. Students can drop-in and ask questions or just listen to information by the organizations at their station.
