Finkenbine<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">presented the paper &#8220;<em>The North Star and the Barber Pole: Black Barbers and the Underground Railroad in the Old Northwest<\/em>&#8221; at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.michigan.gov\/mhc\/events\/2024\/09\/21\/michigan-underground-railroad-heritage-gathering\">Michigan Underground Railroad Heritage Gathering<\/a> at the Michigan History Center in Lansing.
