Zarkowski spoke about the \u201cVirtue of Dental Education as a Learned Profession.\u201d The event honored Valachovic&#8217;s leadership of ADEA for 22 years upon his retirement as President and CEO.<\/p>\n<p>Zarkowski and Detroit Mercy Dental Assistant Dean for Student Services &amp; Enrollment Management\u00a0<strong>Juliette Daniels<\/strong>\u00a0spoke at the American Dental Education Association&#8217;s annual session, March 18. Daniels and Zarkowski were panelists as part of a presentation titled, \u201cWorking Together to Prevent Bullying\u2014Recognize, Address, STOP!\u201d Zarkowski and Detroit Mercy Dental Dean\u00a0<strong>Mert Aksu<\/strong>\u00a0presented at the same meeting as part of a panel presentation, \u201cA Practical Approach to Accommodating Students and Patients with Disabilities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zarkowski was also the invited speaker for the 28th Annual Dr. Peter Fedi Periodontics Lecture at the Midwest Dental Conference, sponsored by the UMKC School of Dentistry in Kansas City, Mo.
