University of Detroit Mercy is launching the Ignatian Mercy Pedagogy Certificate Program for employees who are interested in doing a deep dive into Ignatian and Mercy informed teaching, research, service and community engagement.<\/p>\n
The program is designed to enhance employees\u2019 understanding of UDM\u2019s mission. Those who successfully complete the program will receive a Micro Credential Certificate, awarded by the Association of Jesuit Colleges & Universities and Conference for Mercy Higher Education.<\/p>\n
The certificate program consists of eight modules over two semesters and includes readings, discussion questions and reflection opportunities.<\/p>\n
Reading assignments are expected to take no longer than two hours per module to complete. Seminar meeting sessions will be held Thursday afternoons from 2-3:30 p.m., through a mix of in-person, virtual and flexible delivery.<\/p>\n
The seminar sessions for the 2026-27 academic year are scheduled to take place Oct. 1, Oct. 22, Nov. 12, Dec. 10, Jan. 28, Feb. 25, March 18 and April 15.<\/p>\n
