Peter Dougherty\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CLASA will host a celebration of the 150<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of\u00a0Mahatma Gandhi\u2019s birthday, with a presentation by Peter Dougherty, S.J. on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 5:15 p.m. in Room 317 of the Jane &amp; Walter O. Briggs Building.<\/p>\n<p>Fr. Dougherty will speak on how he combined Christian insights with the philosophy and nonviolent tactics of Gandhi in his own work with his organization: Meta\/Michigan Peace Team. MPT has worked both nationally and internationally in nonviolent initiatives. Fr.
