A more than 100 million dollar facelift is set to get underway on the campus of the University of Detroit Mercy. Renovation and expansion of the Student Union plus demolition of the aging Fisher Administration Center and Reno Hall will begin in May.<\/p>\n

“And then we are going to shift gears when this project is all completed and begin to build two new student apartment complexes for our upper classmen. This will increase our student population living in residence halls from about 900 to about 1200 students.” UDM President, Dr. Antoine Garibaldi says all the work will take about 4 years to complete.<\/p>\n

\nMajor construction planned at the University of Detroit Mercy. Administrators announced today that a multi-million dollar project for the McNichols campus will begin in July. The work will include a renovation and expansion of the Student Union followed by the eventual demolition of the University’s Fisher Administration Center and Reno Hall. The plan also calls for new on-campus apartments and a Center for Excellence in teaching and learning.
