{"id":4419,"date":"2020-03-23T13:19:56","date_gmt":"2020-03-23T17:19:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.udmercy.edu\/campusconnection\/?p=4419"},"modified":"2020-03-26T10:47:21","modified_gmt":"2020-03-26T14:47:21","slug":"mba-program-ranked-no-22-in-nation-for-management","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.udmercy.edu\/campusconnection\/2020\/03\/23\/mba-program-ranked-no-22-in-nation-for-management\/","title":{"rendered":"MBA program ranked No. 22 in nation for Management"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Detroit Mercy\u2019s MBA program ranked No. 22 in the nation for Management and achieved a top 25 rank among the nation\u2019s best Management programs according to the to the 2021 edition of U.S. News &amp; World Report\u2019s \u201cBest Graduate School Rankings.\u201d Rankings were released on March 17, 2020.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Detroit Mercy\u2019s MBA in Management ranked No. 22 along with Carnegie Mellon University. This is the sixth year in a row that Detroit Mercy\u2019s MBA program has been ranked among the nation\u2019s top 25.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Antoine M. Garibaldi, president of Detroit Mercy, said this honor further demonstrates the program\u2019s impact and ability in preparing executives to lead their organizations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe achievement of another top 25 rank is a major accomplishment for the MBA Management program and illustrates the depth and breadth of this program, as well as its evolution as one of the very best programs in the country,\u201d he said. \u201cI commend our faculty and staff in the College of Business Administration for their work and applaud our graduates, many of whom have gone on to become recognized leaders throughout the U.S.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re delighted that U.S. News &amp; World Report continues to rank our MBA program among the top 25 graduate management programs in the entire nation, and we\u2019re committed to making it even better,\u201d said Joseph Eisenhauer, dean of Detroit Mercy\u2019s College of Business Administration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year, we\u2019ve not only streamlined the MBA curriculum, re-set the tuition and added an online option; we\u2019re also enhancing the overall student experience through our new Center for Practice &amp; Research in Management &amp; Ethics,\u201d Eisenhauer said. \u201cWith presentations by internationally renowned business leaders like Denise Morrison of Campbell Soup Company, experiential learning opportunities for MBA students to serve as business consultants and creation of the PRIME Center Studio, where teamwork and leadership can be recorded and analyzed, our MBAs will remain at the forefront of their industries,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>This new U.S. News &amp; World\u2019s Report top 25 rank comes on the heels of news that Detroit Mercy Accounting graduates had the nation\u2019s best first-time pass rates on the Certified Public Accounting exam, according to the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA). The group reported the rankings in the 2018 edition of Candidate Performance on the Uniform CPA Examination. Detroit Mercy students and alumni achieved a 95% pass rate and an average test score of 87.5 on the 2018 CPA exam. The University was one of only two institutions in the nation to achieve a pass rate of at least 90%. This is the third year in a row that first-time pass rates of Detroit Mercy students have ranked among the best in the United States.<\/p>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasbareport.com\/\">NASBA\u2019s full report is available online<\/a>.<\/h4>\n<p>Each year, U.S. News ranks professional programs in business, education, engineering, law, medicine and nursing, including specialties in each area. The Best Graduate Schools rankings in these areas are based on two types of data: expert opinions about program excellence and statistical indicators that measure the quality of a school&#8217;s faculty, research and students.
