Sunday Mass will be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/udmministry\">streamed on Facebook Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Weekly Programs<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Mindful Meditation and Motivating Monday<\/strong> will be hosted each Monday at 7 p.m. on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCdFCkP8m0j7V7bxRA6F8STA?view_as=subscriber\">University Ministry\u2019s YouTube channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament<\/strong> will be hosted each Wednesday at 7 p.m. on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCdFCkP8m0j7V7bxRA6F8STA?view_as=subscriber\">University Ministry\u2019s YouTube channel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christian Life Communities and Spiritual Life Communities<\/strong> will meet virtually or in-person as needed this semester. Join a support group to share life, joys, struggles and lean on our campus community. Peter and Paul Jesuit Church celebrates its annual Jazz Mass virtually on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 10:50 a.m., featuring the Cliff Monear Trio and Russ Miller. <a href=\"https:\/\/ssppjesuit.org\/\">Visit the church\u2019s website for details<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Virtual Celebrate Spirit!<\/strong> \u2013 All Detroit Mercy students and employees are encouraged to attend virtual Celebrate Spirit! on Thursday, Sept. 10. Celebrate Spirit! is the official welcoming event to the new academic year and part of a tradition dating from European universities in the Middle Ages. This year\u2019s theme is \u201cIn Solidarity,\u201d focused on a determination to commit oneself to the common good. <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.udmercy.edu\/campusconnection\/2020\/08\/24\/celebrate-spirit-as-titans-together-in-solidarity-sept-10\/\">See the Campus Connection article for more information<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Student Scripture Study: The Gospel of Luke<\/strong> \u2013 Students will explore and study the Gospel of Luke together on Thursday nights from 7 to 8:15 p.m. on Zoom. The first week will be an introduction with studies beginning on Sept. 10. Packets can be mailed or will be available for pick-up in the University Ministry Office. <a href=\"https:\/\/zoom.us\/j\/98129948514\">Join the study group online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mercy Day<\/strong> \u2013 Detroit Mercy will celebrate a day of Mercy in honor of Catherine McAuley, the founder of the Sisters of Mercy, on Sept 20. at a 9 p.m. Mass. Judy Mouch, RSM will give a reflection and provide insight into the life and legacy of Catherine McAuley. Mercy Day is officially celebrated on Sept. 24. Stay tuned on University Ministry socials for more celebration information.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Busy Persons Retreat<\/strong> \u2013 Do you think you are too busy to take time for yourself? Think again! Students and employees alike are invited to the virtual Busy Persons Retreat. Each participant will be paired with a spiritual director and meet for one hour virtually each week this October. Tutors can set their own hours for this weekly commitment. Tutors will also participate in monthly formation discussions and check-ins with University Ministry. This year\u2019s conference will be held virtually on Oct. 24 and 25. Listen to nationally distinguished speakers, participate in peer-led breakout sessions and enjoy advocacy reflection discussions. In-person, socially-distanced delegation gatherings are a possibility, but currently TBD.
