Now in its thirteenth year, the Mission Micro Grant Program awards annual grants of up to $200 to any full- or part-time Detroit Mercy faculty or staff member in support of activities that promote Detroit Mercy\u2019s mission of being a Catholic, Mercy, Jesuit, urban and student-centered university. This year\u2019s recipients include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Alexis Burgess<\/strong> and <strong>Patricia Devoy<\/strong> (CLAE\/CHP): Reading materials for a Detroit Mercy women\u2019s prayer and study group<\/li>\n<li><strong>Matt Chesley<\/strong> (UREC): Sponsorships for students to participate in the Detroit Mercy Biggest Loser wellness program<\/li>\n<li><strong>Grace Gamble<\/strong> (Campus Kitchen): Support to create a campus garden to produce food and provide a space for agricultural education for students<\/li>\n<li><strong>Katharine Harrison<\/strong>, <strong>Tanya Lundberg<\/strong> and <strong>Connor Salanger<\/strong> (SOL): Incentive support for SOL students\u2019 participation in Pathways, a new online career management module<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mary-Catherine Harrison<\/strong> (CLAE): Support for Rx for Reading Detroit to prepare and install a free community library at the All About Kids Head Start program<\/li>\n<li><strong>Matt Higley<\/strong> (UREC): Support for student participation in the University Recreation Adventure series<\/li>\n<li><strong>Timothy Hipskind, S.J.<\/strong>, (ILS) and Dohna Dudley (The Hive): Supplies for The Hive, a student-run food pantry<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sonya Kowalski<\/strong>, <strong>Andrea Kwasky<\/strong>, <strong>Shari Lambert<\/strong>, <strong>Barbara Ciotta<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>Sherry McConnell<\/strong>\u00a0(CHP\/MSON): Incentive support for a student and faculty survey on Clinical Compass, a\u00a0learning tool that addresses the gap between classroom and clinical learning<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shari Lambert<\/strong>, <strong>Andrea Kwasky<\/strong>, <strong>Barbara Ciotta<\/strong>, <strong>Carlie Wilson<\/strong>, <strong>Sherry McConnell<\/strong> and<strong> Jeana Wisinski<\/strong> (CHP\/MSON): Support for creation of Detroit Mercy We are Titans: Your Clinical Team Cares stress relief baskets for students and faculty<\/li>\n<li><strong>Melvin Lunkins<\/strong> (SOD): LGBTQ+, multicultural, and ethnocentric magazine subscriptions, signage, and art for Dental Clinic waiting areas<\/li>\n<li><strong>Molly McClelland<\/strong>, <strong>Darrell Kleinke<\/strong> and <strong>Megan Conrad<\/strong> (CHP\/CES): Gift cards in appreciation of community clients working with nurse-engineering student teams in Prototype Design &amp; Assistive Technology courses<\/li>\n<li><strong>Karen Mihelich<\/strong> (CHP\/MSON): Gift cards in appreciation of guest speakers in NUR 4300: Community Nursing<\/li>\n<li><strong>Timmy Nelson<\/strong> (MarCom): Support for a virtual charity gaming marathon to raise monies for Beaumont Children\u2019s Hospital, Royal Oak.
