Garibaldi<\/strong><\/a> was a panelist at the 24th annual Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) Conference, Jan. 27. Titled, &#8220;Lessons Learned from University Leadership and Accreditors,&#8221; the panel focused on presidents and accreditors\u2019 experiences with each other to institutionalize the values associated with self-studies and quality assessments. Dr. Garibaldi also gave remarks at the annual Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU) meeting, Feb. 5, on a panel titled, \u201cTalking About Race in a Catholic Context.\u201d This panel focused on how Catholic colleges and universities can address issues of race on campus and play a larger role in the communities where they are located.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Detroit Mercy President Antoine M.
