These events are made possible in partnership with the Language &amp; Cultural Training program.<\/p>\n<p>The week features daily walk-by activities at the ISO suite \u2014 Engineering 269 \u2014 and Foreign Language Studies office \u2014 Briggs 339. Throughout the week, the Titan Dining Room will host themed food nights, showcasing the cuisine of various cultures.<\/p>\n<p>Students can participate in an intercultural photo contest by using the hashtag #TitansIEW2021 on Instagram. Students are encouraged to share a picture of themselves in their native country\u2019s special dress or a short video talking about a dish from their country or dancing or singing to music from their country. The deadline to enter the photo contest is Nov. 19 at 4 p.m. and a winner will be randomly selected to receive a\u00a0$20 VISA\/MasterCard gift card.<\/p>\n<p>Teams of students can compete in a 24-hour scavenger hunt on the McNichols Campus on Wednesday, Nov. 17. Those who complete the tasks earn the chance to win a $50 gift card.<\/p>\n<p>University Minister for Service and Justice Sr. Erin McDonald, CSJ, will share her personal and professional motivation for being an activist for immigration rights on Thursday, Nov. 18 from 12:45-2 p.m. in Engineering 220.<\/p>\n<p>A Thanksgiving dinner caps International Education Week\u2019s in-person events and will be held Friday, Nov. 19 from 4-6 p.m. in the College of Engineering &amp; Science\u2019s high bay. Students are asked to <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/pages\/responsepage.aspx?id=2MKkyGi9ukC4tnUivppxcZ0qTPSORBhKoBa6z2M3MeFURFdSNlI3TkJIVDMzTjdTWEtUMkc4U1ZONC4u&amp;fbclid=IwAR1likiNszl5peBT2MvMipI89SnlCdLynjW4adk1uZ04OowEepO2aF4feTU\">RSVP by filling out this online form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Virtual programming is also being offered throughout International Education Week. Events include a <a href=\"https:\/\/udmercy-edu.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/tJMoce-hqDwsEtffq68IP-XpB9kCMYS93oS-\">Fulbright Student program and Peace Corp<\/a>s information session, a <a href=\"https:\/\/udmercy-edu.zoom.us\/meeting\/register\/tJYofuqurzosHd0sWCLUBO9rBoJc8Xex-lpK\">study abroad information session<\/a> and a <a href=\"https:\/\/udmercy-edu.zoom.us\/webinar\/register\/WN_1iIsNxXOQLuxuugxy6IBXQ\">webinar on environmental issues in Colombia<\/a>, hosted by Danny Marrero, an assistant professor of philosophy at Salem State University.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.udmercy.edu\/life\/iso\/international-week.php\">To learn more about International Education Week events, please visit the International Services Office website<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The International Services Office (ISO) will host various events as the University observes International Education Week Nov. 15-19.
