Detroit Mercy senior Antoine Davis became the first Titan men’s basketball student-athlete in school history to earn CoSIDA Academic All-District honors after he received the accolade<\/a> from the national organization on Thursday.<\/p>\n

The Academic All-District teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performance in the classroom and on the playing field. Davis is the 31st Titan in school history to be recognized as an All-District honoree and was one of just two Horizon League men’s basketball student-athletes to receive to laurel in 2021-22.<\/p>\n

Davis has broken numerous school and conference records during the 2021-22 season, including becoming Detroit Mercy’s all-time leading scorer with more than 2,550 points in his Titan career. He ranks in the top-50 all-time in NCAA Division I basketball history in career scoring.<\/p>\n

The guard currently ranks second in the country in scoring at 23.4 points per game. He holds a 3.39 GPA in Communications.<\/p>\n
