This November, we brought back a popular meeting topic from years past: Building and Rebuilding a PC. During this meeting, our Cybersecurity Club Technician and former Club President, Harrison Haviland-Longo, led a comprehensive hands-on presentation that mixed a step-by-step live disassembly of a Desktop PC and an informational PowerPoint designed to provide students with keynotes from the demonstration. During the live demonstration, students were able to disassemble identical Desktop PCs to follow along with the process in real time. Together, we learned how to disassemble computers safely and gained a deeper understanding of how key components of a PC, such as the Motherboard, CPU, and RAM, work together to produce the powerful workstations we use every day. We would like to thank all who attended this meeting, and we look forward to providing even more hands-on technical activities for our members in the future!
