Fellow Club member Austin Bruce served as our guest speaker for our October meeting, sharing his expertise on automotive cybersecurity and the importance of securing modern vehicle systems. Austin’s presentation covered who thrives in automotive cyber, the types of skills that translate well into the field, and why securing vehicles is becoming more and more critical as vehicles become more software-dependent. With Detroit being the heart of the automotive industry, this topic was especially relevant to our members.
This meeting highlighted the demand for cybersecurity professionals in the automotive sector and gave students a closer look at career pathways they may not have previously considered. We would like to thank Austin for volunteering his time and expertise to share this important topic with the club!
