Club officers Harrison Haviland-Longo, Ali Laho, and Hannah Burdinie shared their experiences from the GrrCON Cybersecurity Summit and Hacker Conference, which is held annually in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Our club officers discussed the hands-on workshops they attended, the inspiring presentations they sat in on, and the excellent networking opportunities they had with industry professionals from across the Midwest. Their goal was to help members understand what they should expect when attending a cybersecurity conference and how events like GrrCON can open doors, build their confidence, and spark new opportunities.
Conferences like GrrCON are an incredible way for students to see the cybersecurity community in action. We encourage all members to consider attending future cybersecurity conferences!
