CLAE Half-Day on Wednesday, May 1 at 12:30 p.m.

Our CLAE Half-Day will be on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, starting at 12:30 p.m. in the Architecture Exhibition Space in the College of Architecture and Community Development.  We begin with the Dean’s Annual Lecture, delivered this year by Felicia Grey, PhD, Assistant Professor of Political Science, titled, “The Selective Complainant: An Examination of China’s Litigation Patterns at the WTO.” This lecture celebrates CLAE’s annual theme which, this year, is “diversity is our strength.”

The final College meeting starts at 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. Our community will celebrate our final gathering as CLAE, an important marker in the history of the College and UDM.  There will be a few surprises to mark the occasion. Our 2024 Magis Faculty Recognition Award winner will be honored. A range of faculty accomplishments will be recognized. We will reflect on our year while looking toward our future as CHASS.  Then, as is now the CLAE/CHASS tradition, we will gather for food and drink for Briggs on the Porch, enjoying each other’s company as we head into the summer months.
