Students in the Legal Research course took a field trip to the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law earlier this semester. Led by Dr. Felicia Grey, the course helps prepare pre-law students for the rigor of law school by developing practical research skills.
During their visit, students explored the law library and examined primary and secondary legal sources with guidance from William Ketchum, Head of Public Service. Dr. Courtney A. Griffin provided a campus tour, giving students a closer look at the School of Law’s environment and resources. The group was also warmly welcomed by Dean Nicholas J. Schroeck, who spoke with students about their academic and professional journeys ahead.
This immersive experience offered valuable insight into the world of legal research and gave students a meaningful introduction to life at law school.
