Check out five reproductions of artwork from the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) collection on display across UDM’s McNichols Campus, including the Briggs building! These works are part of the Detroit Institute of Arts’ Inside|Out program. Now in its sixteenth year, this program aims to bring museum-quality art into public spaces around Detroit, making it accessible to a broader community.
The displayed works are positioned along commonly traveled paths on campus, allowing students and visitors to encounter art in their daily routines. In a featured video, Dean Jocelyn Boryczka reflects on the importance of art to democratic society and its significance for the campus community.
The presence of such artworks on our campus reflects UDM’s commitment to a liberal arts education.
