CHASS Celebrates the Season at Annual Holiday Party

The CHASS community gathered for its warm and festive annual CHASS Holiday Party, bringing faculty, students, staff, and guests together to celebrate the season.

Everyone enjoyed the smorgasbord of homemade dishes and seasonal favorites that reflect the rich diversity of our College. Prof. Greg Sumner came out of retirement to join Prof. Marty Leever to play live music that set the cheerful tone for the holiday season. A spirited white elephant gift exchange entertained us all. The Ugly Sweater Contest drew eight contestants donning their most creative, colorful, and ugly attire. Congratulations to Ms. Valerie Williams, Administrative Assistant, who took away the winning prize!

A special video message for Dean Jocelyn highlighted the party. Faculty members representing various departments expressed their heartfelt gratitude for her leadership, collaboration, and meaningful initiatives which she has championed since joining CHASS in August 2022. The message celebrated the positive momentum and community spirit she cultivates within the College.

The event was a joyful reminder of the strength, camaraderie, and dedication that define the CHASS community, closing the semester on a warm and memorable note.
