Professor of History Greg Sumner introduced two award-winning World War II movies at the Historic Redford Theatre, in honor of Veterans Day: The Best Years of Our Lives (1946), dealing with the readjustment challenges facing soldiers returning home from combat, and “Mrs. Miniver (1942),” about a housewife in Britain who keeps her family together during the London “blitz.”
