Students in the Criminal Investigations course took their learning to the next level during a mock crime scene simulation hosted by Prof. Camille Howard in partnership with the Detroit Police Department Forensic Services.
Held in CHASS Room 219, the event gave students a chance to apply their classroom knowledge in a real-world setting. Students worked the scene by documenting evidence through photography, collecting trace materials, and creating detailed crime scene sketches.
This immersive experience allowed students to practice key investigative techniques and gain insight into the collaborative process of criminal investigations. Events like this highlight the strength of our Criminal Justice program and its commitment to hands-on learning.
