Psychology Students Apply Learning Theory Through Goat Training

Psychology students are gaining hands-on experience this semester through a Learning Lab course taught by Prof. Preston Foerder, Department of Psychology. Students will apply principles of classical and operant conditioning by training goats in partnership with Pingree Farms, an urban farm located about 10 minutes from campus.

The project connects foundational psychological theory to real-world learning environments while providing students with meaningful experiential learning opportunities outside the classroom.
