TEnglish department faculty and students, along with CLAE Dean Jocelyn Boryczka and Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) Director Mike Verdusco, celebrated the installation of the new Detroit Mercy Creative Arts kiosk. The kiosk, which was the vision of the university’s poet-in-residence, Dr. Stacy Gnall, will showcase creative work by Detroit Mercy students and offer the campus community a public space to interact with poetry and writing. Dr. Gnall and Dr. Mary-Catherine Harrison, chair of the English department, won a CETL Flame grant for the kiosk.

In November, the English Department inspired the Detroit Mercy community to write words of gratitude through the Write Something Desk located by the Creative Arts Kiosk.
