The College of Liberal Arts & Education (CLAE) will be well-represented at the upcoming University of Detroit Mercy’s “Celebration of Scholarly Achievement” on April 18, which will take place in the Student Union Ballroom and Fountain Lounge. This all-day event occurs in two parts.
CLAE student work will be featured amid over 100 research presentations, poetry, performances, demonstrations, breakout sessions and more. Poster set-up begins at 10 a.m., followed by the first segment of the celebration from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Box lunches from Subway will be available before the start of the event.
Later in the afternoon, the event transitions into a Wine & Cheese Reception & Keynote with Terrel Strayhorn, Ph.D. in the Student Union Ballroom from 4 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
Strayhorn’s presentation will explore new research on the connection between a sense of belonging and student access. Strayhorn is a nationally recognized author, and staunch advocate for advancing equity through scientific research.
