The College of Liberal Arts & Education (CLAE) will be well-represented at the upcoming University of Detroit Mercy\u2019s \u201cCelebration of Scholarly Achievement\u201d on April 18, which will take place in the Student Union Ballroom and Fountain Lounge. This all-day event occurs in two parts.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CLAE student work will be featured amid over 100 research presentations, poetry, performances, demonstrations, breakout sessions and more. <\/span>Poster set-up begins at 10 a.m., followed by the first segment of the celebration from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.<\/span><\/b> Box lunches from Subway will be available before the start of the event.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Later in the afternoon, the event transitions into a Wine & Cheese Reception & Keynote with Terrel Strayhorn, Ph.D. in the Student Union Ballroom from 4 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Strayhorn\u2019s presentation will explore new research on the connection between a sense of belonging and student access.\u00a0 Strayhorn is a nationally recognized author, and staunch advocate for advancing equity through scientific research.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
